Role Details

The Service Desk Engineer’s role is a crucial part of our expansion plans. In order to offer better and round the clock 24/7 services to our clients we are opening a Service Desk and NOC center in Braga, Portugal. We are looking to recruit experienced engineers who will become part of our Service Desk team reporting to the Service Desk & Operations Manager.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • 2nd to 3rd line technical support, dealing with incoming incidents and requests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Conducting full and thorough diagnostics to ensure high second and third line resolution adhering to agreed SLAs
  • Provide solution(s)/work around(s) to incidents and problems
  • Conducting proactive maintenance, back up checks, …
  • Install, maintain and support new applications and infrastructure
  • Create, manage and evolve polices, processes and procedures
  • Work to SLA thresholds for incident(s), request(s) and problem(s)
  • Create and manage a SharePoint documents records library
  • Prioritizing and managing several open cases and mini projects at one time
  • Attending to system monitoring alerts (NOC)
  • Work with a variety of business and technical contacts to gain a detailed understanding of their requirements
  • Performance monitoring IT infrastructure
  • Maintain security infrastructure including antivirus software, firewalls and endpoints
  • Administer Active Directory including Group Policies
  • Administer and monitor Virtual server infrastructure
  • Build new servers, including virtual
  • Network trouble shooting, TCP/IP and general WAN/ LAN trouble shooting
  • Working on a 24/7 rotation



  • Fluent or native efficiency in English language spoken and written
  • 2-3 years’ experience superior
  • Customer Service Skills
  • IT Service Desk Environment
  • Microsoft Desktop XP/Windows 7, 8, Apple OS X 2-3, Office 365
  • Administering Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2012
  • Administering Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007/2010/2013
  • Networking Experience (routers, switches & firewalls)
  • Network Administration & Data Backup Technologies
  • General Networking Support & DNS
